The Coast Along the Great Ocean Road

This is a view of the coastline near the 12 Apostles in Victoria, Australia. The 12 Apostles are called stacks, geologically speaking, and there are a number of them just off the coast between Peterborough and Port Campbell, Victoria. These stacks are densely packed limestone; they used to be part of the coastline, but the ocean has separated them over centuries.

I took this photo in December 2009 while on a helicopter tour of the area.
